UNDERGROUNDING OF POWER NETWORKS

The CEB’s undergrounding programme aims to systematically transition key overhead power feeders to underground systems, with a target of undergrounding 50% of the power network by 2025. Work began in 2017 on the Savoy to La Caverne (Vacoas) section, followed by the La Caverne to Candos network. Other localities included in this master plan are Royal Road Phoenix to St Paul, Floreal, Belle Mare, Poste La Fayette, Plaza Rose Hill, Goodlands, Triolet, Choisy, Port Mathurin (Rodrigues), and more.
