Building and Land Use Permit (BLUP) (all customer categories)

To apply for a construction permit for a site, the applicant should submit soft copies of site plan drawings to the Local Authority of his/her region. 

The application can also be made using the National Electronic Licensing System on URL Home (edbmauritius.org) or scan QR code in the photo below:

The Local Authority will forward the application to CEB Office concerned through the National Electronic Licensing System and for which the Clearance is granted or rejected within 5 working days.

Note:

1. The applicant should submit scaled drawings of a location plan, a site plan, one plan view, and any two side elevations adjacent to access roads to the plot of land, with the relevant section drawings. The scaled drawings should bear the authorised original signature / seal of architect and be preferably in A3 size.

2. The National Identity Card / Business Registration Card and contact details of the applicant should be provided. In addition, customers who are already electricity account holders with the CEB should produce their Business Partner Number or Contract Account Number for ease of processing the application.

The CEB shall provide a feedback to the Local Authority within 5 working days from the date of application for the BLUP. In case the clearance has not been granted, the applicant may then apply for displacement / or Insulation of CEB’s network, where applicable.
