Reliability of Supply
How often supply is interrupted, and for how long: the international reliability indices, region by region.
We are dedicated to enhancing the reliability of power supply and minimising power interruptions. This commitment is supported by the continuous monitoring of the SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI indices, aligned with best international practice. The figures for 2020–2025 reflect ongoing efforts to maintain and improve service reliability. 2025 figures: CEB Annual Report 2024/2025.
The average total time without electricity per customer in a year (hours). Lower is better.
The average number of interruptions a customer has in a year. Lower is better.
How long an interruption lasts on average (hours) = SAIDI ÷ SAIFI. Lower is better.
