Within the framework of the Renewable Energy Roadmap 2030, the CEB is hereby inviting Religious Bodies to apply to the CEB for the setting-up of small and medium-sized solar photovoltaic (PV) projects under the CEB Renewable Energy (RE) Scheme for Religious Bodies.

This SSDG scheme is currently being implemented and involves the installation of solar photovoltaic kits for free on the roof of qualified Religious Bodies.

Note :-

  • The Board has approved that the rate for electricity credit, under this Scheme, be Rs 4.20 per kWh. This new rate will be applicable for installations that have been commissioned as of 01 November 2023.
  • As from 25 April 2024, tariff is no longer a qualifying criterion, subject to the religious body being duly registered with the relevant authority.
