OVERVIEW OF THE CEB SCHEME FOR RELIGIOUS BODIES

Within the framework of the Renewable Energy Roadmap 2030, the CEB is hereby inviting Religious Bodies to express their interest for the setting-up of small and medium-sized solar photovoltaic (PV) projects under the CEB Renewable Energy (RE) Scheme for Religious Bodies. Requests from Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), including charitable organisations, may also be considered.

This initiative is in line with the national budget measure relating to the setting-up of new Renewable Energy Generation Schemes to promote the generation of electricity from solar photovoltaic sources by small and medium-scale power producers. The aim is to install solar PV installations for a cumulated capacity of 4 MW, which will eventually contribute towards meeting the national target of generating 35% of our electricity from renewable sources by 2025.

For any further clarification, the CEB Strategic & Business Planning Unit may be contacted on 404-2038 / 2045.

Note :-
  • The submission of EOI FORM for the expression of interest (EOI) exercise is now closed.
  • The Board has approved that the rate for electricity credit, under this Scheme, be Rs 3.14 per kWh.
